review mary kay timewise plus regena-firm™ skin care products

I remember the day I turned 30. I was sitting in front of the mirror, peering at my face.

When a friend saw me, she asked me what I was doing.

"Waiting for the wrinkles to appear," I said, "I just turned 30."

That was almost 10 years ago.

In the last 10 years, the wrinkles (thankfully) have not started appearing, but I can see signs that indicate my skin is ageing. My skin was really dry (I continually had that feeling of 'tightness' on my face), and it was definitely more saggy.

I realise that everyone grows old and I am okay with that. But that does not mean that I need to look my age, yes? Since I am not one who believes that plastic surgery is the answer to my problems, I guess I would have to stick to a good skin care regime.

I was not the most religious person, especially when it came to keeping to a skin care routine. I tended to forget to tone, moisturise, etc. And I tended to forget A LOT.

I recently turned 39, so when one of my friends, Florinda, from Flo Mummy asked for volunteers to try the new Mary Kay TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm™ range of skin care products for older skin, I thought, why not, and volunteered my very tired skin for the challenge.

I was given the following products:

1. TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm™ Intensive Serum
2. TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm™ Day Treatment with SPF30/PA+++
3. TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm™ Night Treatment with SPF30/PA+++
4. TimeWise®Plus+ Regena-Firm™ Correcting Eye Cream
5. True Dimension Lipstick

And the instructions: Cleanser, Serum, Treatment (Day/Night) and Eye Cream.

I was promised that my skin would become more firm, and have more lift. In fact, Florinda told me that my skin would LOVE this range of products!

I could not believe how simple it all sounded.

No need for toner?

Not necessary to use sunblock?

Wow.

So that night, I started using the products.

You know, I was impressed right from the start.

Not only was the entire process super easy, I walked away from the bathroom without the feeling that I had this layer of gunk covering my face.

You know that feeling?

Well, I now realise that the reason why I had been so reluctant to follow a skin care routine was because I was sub-consciously trying to avoid that feeling of oily gunk covering my face.

In addition to that, I love the clever packaging! By pressing on the lid, the exact amount that I would need for one application was dispensed. This means that the rest of the cream stays unexposed to air, my fingers and any contaminants. How clever is that? This would ensure that the cream is able to last 2-3 months and still be fresh!

I inwardly cursed at how many bottles of cream I had thrown out after a couple of months because they had started to look or smell iffy.

I am surprised at how much I love this new skin care routine. I actually look forward to it every morning and evening, which is saying a lot!

I had been using the products for about 2 weeks when one day, the LAM told me, very much out of the blue, that my skin looked better. It was definitely less dry, and in addition to that, my skin is definitely firmer than it was 2 weeks ago!

What floored me was when the LAM asked if he could use my Mary Kay skincare products! GOSH he-would-use-only-soap-because-he-is-a-man had volunteered to try using additional skin care products? I think my eyes had problems staying in their sockets.

I know this has been really an unusual post for me, but ladies, when one discovers a good thing, one should share, right?
